The Mission

To be an extended family of disciples who love God wholeheartedly and are on mission to help our friends discover the grace of God.

The personal values deeply embedded in the culture of Citylife Church.

    Proverbs 11:3

What We Do

After 30 years of church life, these have remained our non-negotiable spiritual practices.

  • We live in relationship with God and hear His voice as we connect with Him through prayer, reading the Scriptures and personal worship.

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”
    Genesis 3:8-9

But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.
    Luke 5:16

  • We are praying, being a blessing and looking for opportunities to share the gospel with the friends and family in our lives.

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.
    Luke 19:10

The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which, when translated, is Peter ). Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus.
    John 1:40-42

  • We gather in small groups of close friends to stay accountable, encourage and support each other in our walk with God.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
    Matthew 28:19-20

Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him. He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach
    Mark 3:13-14

  • We show up at Sunday gatherings for worship, communion, teaching and for each other because we are an extended family of disciples on mission together.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
    Acts 2:42

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
    Hebrews 10:24-25

  • We pray, give and go to support our field workers around the world.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
    Matthew 28:18-20

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
    Acts 1:8

  • We extend the love of God from our community to the larger community we are a part of.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
    Matthew 5:16

And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
    Micah 6:8
